As you were.

I thought I'd surprise Bev by taking her on a short mystery tour to treat her to the chest of drawers she fell in love with a few weeks ago, but when we got there it was gone and she was left wondering why we were there. "I thought it might be nice to see if there was anything left in the sale" I said, to which she quickly replied "There was only one item I would have liked from this place". Then she cast an eye over the floor for what I knew was the very thing I came to get.

Some things don't work out the way you would like.

We didn't even get the early night we need to re-charge our batteries.

  1. Did you get credit for having the good thought? It was a very sweet gesture...

  2. Hi Randi
Yes, I did... but it didn't stop my disappointment for leaving it too long.

Knowing me,there will be plenty of opportunity in the future to get it wong again.

  3. I've learnt the hard way if you don't buy it when you see it you will lose it (and yes, M&S mock-Ugg slippers in black size 3 - I'm thinking of you)

  4. Aw, shame! I bet you were disappointed as well, although saved yourself some money! But I have learnt that if you see something you like, if it sort of 'jumps out at you', then you ought to make the purchase then and there. On the other hand, I have been known to give it a day or two, and then go back to see if the article is still up for sale, and if it is, then I buy it. If it isn't, then I say to myself, 'Oh well, it wasn't meant to be.'

  5. Hi FF
I agree with you...I've done it a few times before and regretted it. I might just have learned my lesson now.

    Hi Vera
That is exactly what Bev said 'Oh well, perhaps it wasn't meant to be.'

  6. I agree with FF. If you like it and can afford it, buy it while you can or it will disappear. All my best purchases are made that way.

Mind you, there have been some noteable white elephants, too !!
