Less than two euros?

The oven part of the cooker stopped working halfway through cooking dinner. The dishwasher isn't working and one of the door compartments on the fridge had it's supports broken.

Today all three were fixed. I fixed the oven, David fixed the dishwasher and I've just fixed the supports on the fridge.

Total cost for the three jobs...less than two euros.

That doesn't happen very often, but when it does it makes me feel good.

David is now fixing his mini motorbike. He bought a length of plastic tube (yellow) for the fuel and he's not happy...it cost almost 10 euros.

A reasonably busy week.

Some of the things we've been up to this week.

Cutting the branches that are tangled in the telephone wires. It was a big job. We did the lot.

Can't believe that we only filled two trailers with the unwanted branches. No one fills their trailers as much as we do :) We'll cut, stack and use the rest.

Ready for the base with shade from the sunlight in place.

Labouring for David

Concrete floor finished and the covers down.

Trying out the wood splitter.

Hedge cutting.

Progress around the bread oven

Digger arrives (two days late, but who's counting?)

Bev and Eileen eating breakfast out and checking on progress. Yes, all the grass is churned up again.

It's an uphill task to dig out the stumps and level the ground at the side of the bread oven.

We have a new friend.

Level ground, a sturdy bank of soil and all the tree stumps gone. A good days work.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

July 14th...Bastille Day.

We started celebrating the revolution by storming the beach at Kervillen rather than the Bastille...2014 style rather than 1789.

When we left the beach, the tide was six feet from the bucket.

Serene building a boat for Spencer.

Jon joined me for a little walk to the next beach. This was on the way.

Time to cool down.

One minute there was only a few on the beach.

Then all of a sudden...

Making a splash with Austin.

Should we move on?

Auray

Still in Auray.

Okay, let's move on.

In Vannes, ready for the celebrations later in the evening.

This was such a good group. Loved the music.

In the centre of Vannes.

Playing Mr Wolf as we wait for the sun to set.

At last! The celebrations begin.

One of the groups we saw earlier.

These were amazing! So graceful on stilts.

It was quite a day! The boys were brilliant although Spencer slept through the firework display. He must have been really tired because it was LOUD.

We got back home at 2:00am.

Visitors (part two).

Jon, Serene, Austin and Spencer in Yvon's woods.

Seeing if the leprechaun is in...

or is it Yvon?
