Those poor things...

It was good that their violent end wasn't captured on film. I witnessed it all. To my great shame I realise that I could have prevented it from happening.  Take it from me that they had a tragically short but sweet life. For the briefest of moments we crossed paths and for my part the experience was fulfilling. I always knew we'd meet one day...call it a gut-feeling.

You just have to try pancakes filled with ice-cream. They are delicious!

Thanks for the suggestion Kirsty.

  1. How do you keep the ice cream from melting?

  2. I had mine with cherry compote. Nick had his with apple compote and maple syrup. My dad had his the old fashioned way with sugar and orange juice, just like my mum used to do them.

It's at times like this that I know my dad misses her so much. We all do.

  3. You had me there Ken! I was thinking...oh no, how tragic.... what's tragic?..mice?....birds.....oh this is sad.... oh no..

    Oh! ha ha ha ha.

We actually forgot and we love pancakes. a tragedy.

  4. It's a skill Randi. It's all about temperatures and timing. You either have it or you don't. Please don't ask me to divulge secrets.

    Hi Jean
I hated them as a kid and would hide in the inside coal cupboard to avoid them. I'd love to go back in time and say...'Bring it on!' You are making me think of MY mum now.

    Hi Molly P
I get the impression you don't miss much so I suppose a bit of what you shouldn't eat too much of anyway isn't such a bad thing.
