Being catty...

Knowing how I feel about many of our overpaid, sleazy, cheating, crooked politicians, imagine my surprise when I turned the radio on to hear they are being prosecuted for making false claims. My smile broadened as the politicians were exposed one at a time. My smile was gigantic when the next crooked politician was mentioned. He'd been making claims for years for a non-existant mortgage and I was really giving him a piece of my mind as I cheered each false claim on the list. His name was Mr Devine. I almost choked!

The finger was pointed at me all of a sudden and it made me think of all the things that would be raked up if I became a politician.

I now admire those who go into politics...leaving me to take on the role of chief complainer with impunity. Besides which, one Devine in politics is quite sufficient I think.

"Let him without sin cast the first stone", was a scripture that came to mind. I painted in silence for the rest of the day like a scolded cat with it's tail between it's legs.

  1. It is hard not to feel negative things though, when faced with all their crooked skulduggery. I feel especially peeved about one specific MP though, Elliot Morley. He used to be the MP for Animal Welfare and I often used to write to him ranting about some ill treatment of animals or against certain legislation. He was always sympathetic in his (personal) replies, courteous and he actually made good legal changes. I gather he has been one of the worst tricksy politicians with this monetary scandal and I thought better of him

  2. p.s. which just goes to show that you can be sympathetic to the plight of animals and still be crooked

  3. Hi FF
Those who feather their own nests at the expense of others make me question their motives as to whether they are representing their electorate or just using the electorate to justify their own personal leanings. Yes, animal lovers can be crooked too. It's a shame , isn't it? Still, at least the garden is being weeded.

  4. If the politicians were more like OUR Mr. Devine, just think how wonderful things would really be? I too, am getting sickened by the crooked actions of these people. Ken for President, that's what I say! Or in your situation, Ken for King!

  5. I think not Randi. A coronary would be the likely and early outcome.
