Way too long...

I had a great day yesterday helping out with Jon and Serene's house move.

Feeling a little sad as I woke with the back of my right hand covering my left eye. I just lay there thinking of four sisters in our expanded family...Pollyanna, Tammy, Serene and Naomi...such a diversity of life experience and personal challenges. An online journal sometimes means I am unable to be as personal as I'd like in recording my feelings, but perhaps I may be able to expand another time.

The sun is up, it's Sunday and I'm off to church for my fix. You may think Mormons don't study the Bible but this year is all about the New Testament. I'm learning so much about myself and life in these pages.

Feeling good right now, especially about next week...Friday in particular as we jump in the car and point it in the direction of France. There will be a smile on my face as I turn the ignition key. Has it really been half a year since our last visit?

Too long...way too long.

  1. I wish that I was going in the direction of France too :) Have a wonderful time!

  2. I can't believe it has been six months since you last came here. Hope you have a good trip down, and hope the weather holds out for you.

  3. I hope you have a great time in France! My step-son and step-daughter are going to be bicycling through Ireland, England and France this summer. I'll tell them to shout "Hello Ken!" when they land on European soil. :)
Good luck on your travels through the New Testament as well. That's ALWAYS an interesting journey.

  5. Oops - last comment didn't make sense so trying again...

We're ready for our trip to France as well - just as excited about it as you are !!
I hope the weather lasts long enough for us all to enjoy some of it.

I hope you have a great holiday.

  6. Hi Kelley
You can come with us, but there will be too much work and too little leisure or relaxation:)

    Hi Vera
Yes, time flies. I looked at the forecast and it seems this week is the best for sunshine, but I'm not too bothered so long as it's dry.

    Hi Randi
we'll make sure we have a good time. What a fantastic adventure for your step-children. I would have loved that opportunity as a young man. Even at my age it sounds good.
I'm not enjoying the New Testament as it highlights too many of my flaws:)

    Hi Jean
It's such a shame we aren't catching the same ferry. The weather is good this week and it seems to dip next week. I'm not sure about the week after next...hopefully clear bright blue skies and sweltering heat.

Have a good holiday, regardless of the weather.

  7. Wonderful to read about your affirmations.
